At Veteran’s Place of Washington Boulevard, we are closely monitoring the developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and our thoughts are with those who have been impacted by the virus. While the spread and impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) are unpredictable, it does not change our focus on continuing to serve the Veterans in the Pittsburgh region.
While we are focused on serving the Veterans in our community, we are also focused on their safety as well as the safety of our staff, volunteers, and the communities we work with. At this time, we are not having outside groups or visitors currently and will follow the direction of the governor in respect to any visitors. However, our doors will remain open for all veterans in need!
To help do our part to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are asking volunteers to be cautious and to avoid coming on-site unless they call in advance. We are also going to pause clothing and drop-off donations for the next three weeks. If you would like to donate to help homeless Veterans in the region, monetary donations are still being accepted via our Donate page.
During this time, we ask our supporters throughout the community to please consider making a monetary donation online. Your generous donation will go towards programs, housing, and other projects, directly benefitting a Veteran in need. Another way you can support Veterans Place is by following us on social media and subscribing to our newsletter to receive updates and the latest information on events with Veterans Place. If you have any questions about the changes to our operations or need assistance with making a donation or signing up for our newsletter, call (412) 363-0500 ext. 213 or email jgilmore@veteransplaceusa.org.
