As the holiday season approaches, now is a wonderful time to make plans with your family, enjoy traditions and the festivities of the holidays. It is also a time of giving and a time when we should reflect on those who struggle during the holiday season, like our homeless and at-risk veteran population.
At Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard, we encourage our community of supporters to take time this holiday season to reflect on the sacrifices our veterans have made and how the holidays can be a difficult time for some of our veterans.
In the spirit of the season for giving, you can donate to Veterans Place, providing funding that helps programs such as our Transitional Housing, Veterans Resource Center, Employment Services, and so much more.
We are also approaching the colder season, which is difficult for our homeless veterans who do not always have a place where they can stay warm. With your generous donations, we can provide them with gloves, hats, coats, socks, boots, and other warm clothing items, as well as hot meals to help them through the winter season.
Join us on December 1st for Giving Tuesday, a global movement for the generosity that helps to unleash the power of our supporters and our organization to transform our community and the world for our veterans. You can join us for Giving Tuesday by making a donation.
The team at Veterans Place would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you and your family a happy and healthy holiday season!
