Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard and Quantum Source Insurance Group to provide Easter Dinners to veterans

Quantum Source Insurance- Veterans Donation

PITTSBURGH- Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard and Quantum Source Insurance Group have partnered with Community Kitchen Pittsburgh to provide Easter dinners to veterans in need.

Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard is a non-profit dedicated to ending veteran homelessness in the Pittsburgh region. “Each year at Veterans Place, we have veterans who are facing some of the toughest situations imaginable and often feel alone with no support. With support from community partners such as Quantum Source Insurance Group, it allows the veterans to understand they are not alone and people are always in their corner. The holidays can be the toughest times, and having support for our veterans is invaluable,” said Robert Hamilton, Executive Director of Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard.

The dinners will be cooked and delivered by Community Kitchen Pittsburgh, a non-profit organization founded in 2013 by Jennifer Flanagan that provides workforce training for adults facing barriers to employment. This organization also provides training programs, transitional employment opportunities, apprenticeships, and job placement services.

“Quantum Source is proud to serve those who served and is committed to supporting the men and women of the military,” said Charles Harris, Managing General Partner at Quantum Source Insurance Group. Charles and his wife, Lisa Harris, are donating the meals to Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard.

Individually packaged meals will be delivered to Veterans Place at noon on April 17th. The meals will include glazed ham dinners, mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls.
